A  JOURNEY OF SERVICE, PASSION, AND LEGACY

ATLANTA, GA — Artist, entrepreneur, and community advocate Fredrick Harper has officially announced the establishment of The Fredrick Harper Arts & Entertainment Scholarship, a named scholarship dedicated to supporting children of injured and fallen workers pursuing studies in the creative arts.

Established through Kids’ Chance of Georgia, the award honors the legacy of organization pioneers Hugh McNatt and Executive Director Lynda Smith by creating targeted funding for students passionate about music, acting, media, and visual storytelling.

My journey in Atlanta has allowed me to fulfill lifelong passions across public service, business, and the creative arts. As I reflect on what it means to leave a lasting mark, it only makes sense to honor the spirit of Kids' Chance by empowering the next generation of resilient young creators."

Harper’s involvement with Kids’ Chance began after connecting with Executive Director Lynda Smith. Recognizing the alignment between his own public safety background and the organization's mission, Harper dedicated years to connecting impacted families with educational resources.

The new specialty award will be administered through Kids’ Chance of Georgia, guiding eligible recipients toward post-secondary programs in performing arts, media production, music, and design.
